Why this exists
"Free directory" lists go stale fast
In October 2026 we re-checked 22 directories that were on our own list as free, one submit page at a time. This is what we found.

From list to live links in three steps
- Pick from a ranked list. Directories are sorted by a transparent score, so the ones most likely to be worth your time come first.

Methodology
How we check every directory
- We open the submission page and confirm whether listing is free.
- We inspect a live listing's outbound link for
nofollow,ugcorsponsored. - We measure DR for all sites on the same day with the same tool.
- Each listing shows its check date, and old checks are flagged.
What we are doing right now
The current list has 18 free directories, checked on 2026-10-07.
Next, we submit to each directory ourselves and record how long approval takes and whether the link is still live after 30 days. We will publish those results only once we have them. Until then, listings show what we checked, not guaranteed results.

Questions, answered
Is the list really free?
Yes. The ranked list, scores, status tracking, guide and change log stay free. Only the Launch Kit is paid.
What is in the Launch Kit?
Submission texts written for every directory from your tool's profile, a submission calendar with reminders, link checks, dates and notes for each directory, and playbooks from our own submissions as we collect real results. The texts are drafts you should read and edit.
What is a backlink?
A backlink is a link from another website to yours. Search engines treat links from other sites as one of many signals when they decide how to rank pages.
What is the difference between dofollow and nofollow?
A nofollow link has rel="nofollow", "ugc" or "sponsored" on it. It tells search engines not to pass ranking credit. A dofollow link has none of these. Nofollow links can still bring visitors.
What is DR?
DR (Domain Rating) is a third-party score from 0 to 100 that estimates how strong a site's backlink profile is. It is not a Google metric. We measure every directory on the same day with the same tool so the numbers can be compared.
Do you guarantee a higher DR or ranking?
No. Results depend on your site, and directories can change their rules at any time. We show what we checked and when.
Are paid directories included?
Not at launch. The list starts with free directories only.
How often is the data updated?
Every listing shows its check date. We aim to re-check each directory every 30 days, and the list flags any listing whose check is older than 60 days.
What about refunds?
You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. Details are on the Terms page.
